Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner – PMHNP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.

📋 Description

• Deliver individualized psychiatric care effectively through telehealth in an outpatient environment.

• Offer direct care to patients.

• Perform thorough assessments of patients.

• Create tailored treatment plans.

• Prescribe medications when clinically suitable.

• Provide care in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical practices.

• Collaborate within clinical teams that include therapists and a psychiatric prescriber.

• Engage in regular staffing meetings with collaborating therapists at least once a month to review patient cases, coordinate treatment, and discuss clinical topics.

• Render clinical services remotely from home.

• Participate in virtual meetings with the clinical team.

• Attend BlueSky's clinical conferences four times weekly; mandatory attendance at least once a week during the initial 90 days and once a month thereafter.

⛳️ Requirements

• Current, unrestricted PMHNP license in at least one of the following states: AZ, CO, IA, IL, MA, MD, MN, MS, NC, OH, TN, TX, or WA.

• Openness to acquiring additional state licenses as required.

• Minimum of six months of experience as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).

• Must not own or manage a private practice.

• Ability to collaborate with a diverse range of healthcare professionals.

• Strong clinical expertise in psychiatry and behavioral health.

• Comprehensive knowledge and experience in assessing and diagnosing psychiatric disorders and administering psychopharmacological treatment.

• Familiarity with non-pharmacological and evidence-based behavioral health interventions.

• Proficient computer skills and comfort with using EHRs, telehealth platforms, and other essential technology.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Capacity to deliver patient-centered, evidence-based, and collaborative psychiatric care in a telehealth setting.
