This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.
• Deliver comprehensive psychiatric care to individuals through telehealth in an outpatient environment.
• Provide direct care to patients.
• Conduct thorough assessments of patient needs.
• Create tailored treatment plans for each patient.
• Prescribe medications when clinically suitable.
• Ensure care is provided in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical guidelines.
• Collaborate with clinical teams that include therapists and a psychiatric prescriber.
• Engage with qualified psychotherapists seeking a prescriber during the onboarding process.
• Attend monthly staffing meetings with collaborating therapists to review patient cases, coordinate treatment, and discuss clinical topics.
• Offer clinical services from a remote location.
• Participate in virtual meetings with the clinical team.
• Join BlueSky clinical conferences at least once weekly during the initial 90 days and monthly thereafter.
• Must possess an active, unrestricted PMHNP license in at least one of the following states: AZ, CO, IA, IL, MA, MD, MN, MS, NC, OH, TN, TX, or WA.
• Must be open to acquiring additional state licenses as necessary.
• A minimum of six months of experience as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is required.
• Ownership or operation of a private practice is not permitted.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of healthcare professionals.
• A solid clinical foundation in psychiatry and behavioral health.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in the assessment and diagnosis of psychiatric disorders and psychopharmacological treatments.
• Familiarity with non-pharmacological and evidence-based behavioral health interventions.
• Proficient computer skills and comfort with using EHRs, telehealth platforms, and basic technology.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Capable of delivering patient-centered, evidence-based, collaborative psychiatric care in a telehealth setting.
