Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner – PMHNP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Deliver individualized psychiatric care effectively through telehealth in an outpatient environment.

• Provide hands-on patient care.

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments.

• Create and implement treatment plans.

• Prescribe medications when necessary.

• Ensure that patient care adheres to relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

• Work collaboratively with therapists and engage in regular staffing to review patient cases or clinical matters.

• Become part of a multidisciplinary team that includes several therapists and a prescriber.

• Participate in mandatory clinical conferences.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a PMHNP license is required.

• Willingness to obtain licensing in additional states.

• Previous experience as a PMHNP is preferred but not mandatory.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.

• Strong computer skills and familiarity with basic technology.

• Robust clinical expertise in psychiatry.

• Strong knowledge in diagnosing psychiatric conditions and psychopharmacological therapies.

• Awareness of non-pharmacological treatment options.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication, organizational, and time management abilities.

• Required to attend at least one clinical conference weekly for the first 90 days of employment, followed by one monthly thereafter.
