Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - PMHNP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Deliver high-quality individual psychiatric care through telehealth in an outpatient environment.

• Provide hands-on patient care.

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments.

• Create tailored treatment plans.

• Prescribe medications when necessary.

• Ensure that patient care adheres to relevant laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines.

• Work in collaboration with therapists and other healthcare providers.

• Engage in regular staffing sessions with collaborating therapists to review patient cases or clinical subjects.

• Participate in virtual clinical team meetings and clinical conferences.

• Assemble care teams by connecting with qualified psychotherapists.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess a PMHNP license.

• Willingness to obtain licensure in other states: AZ, CO, IA, IL, MA, MD, MN, MS, NC, OH, TN, TX, WA.

• Previous experience as a PMHNP is preferred but not mandatory.

• Capability to work cooperatively with a diverse group of healthcare professionals.

• Proficient computer and basic technology skills.

• Strong clinical expertise in psychiatry.

• Solid understanding of the diagnosis of psychiatric disorders and psychopharmacological treatments.

• Familiarity with non-pharmacological treatment methods.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Commitment to attending at least one clinical conference weekly for the first 90 days of employment, followed by one per month.
