Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner – PMHNP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Deliver quality individual psychiatric care through telehealth in an outpatient environment.

• Provide direct patient services.

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations.

• Create and implement treatment plans.

• Prescribe medications when necessary.

• Ensure that patient care adheres to relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

• Operate independently with the best interests of patients in mind.

• Become part of a multidisciplinary team that includes various therapists and a prescriber.

• Collaborate with therapists through regular staffing meetings at least once a month.

• Participate in clinical conferences.

⛳️ Requirements

• A valid PMHNP license is required.

• Willingness to obtain licensure in other states is encouraged.

• Previous experience as a PMHNP is preferred but not mandatory.

• Ability to work effectively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.

• Proficient in computer and basic technology skills.

• Strong clinical foundation in psychiatry.

• Extensive knowledge in diagnosing psychiatric disorders and administering psychopharmacological treatments.

• Awareness of non-pharmacological treatment options.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

• Attend at least one clinical conference weekly during the first 90 days of employment; thereafter, attend one monthly.
