Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, PMHNP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Deliver high-quality individual psychiatric care through telehealth in an outpatient environment.

• Provide hands-on patient care.

• Carry out comprehensive patient assessments.

• Formulate treatment plans.

• Prescribe medications as deemed necessary.

• Ensure that patient care adheres to relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

• Integrate into teams composed of various therapists and a prescriber.

• Collaborate with therapists through regular staffing meetings, at least once a month, to review patient cases or clinical topics.

• Participate in mandatory clinical conferences.

• Conduct clinical duties from home while engaging in virtual team meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a PMHNP license is required.

• Willingness to obtain licensing in other states is preferred.

• Previous experience as a PMHNP is desirable but not mandatory.

• Capability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.

• Proficient in computer use and basic technology.

• Strong clinical foundation in psychiatry.

• Solid understanding of diagnosing psychiatric disorders and psychopharmacological treatments.

• Awareness of non-pharmacological interventions.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication, organizational, and time management skills.

• Commitment to attending at least one clinical conference per week for the initial 90 days of employment, followed by monthly attendance.
