Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner – PMHNP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Deliver high-quality individual psychiatric care through telehealth in an outpatient environment

• Provide direct care to patients

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments

• Create tailored treatment plans

• Prescribe medications when necessary

• Ensure that patient care adheres to relevant laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines

• Foster collaborative teams consisting of multiple therapists and a prescriber

• Hold regular meetings with collaborating therapists, at least once a month, to discuss patient cases or relevant clinical topics

• Participate in mandatory clinical conferences

• Conduct clinical duties remotely from home

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess a PMHNP license

• Willingness to obtain licensing in other states

• Previous experience as a PMHNP is preferred but not mandatory

• Capability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of healthcare professionals

• Proficient in computer use and basic technology

• Strong clinical foundation in psychiatry

• Solid background in diagnosing psychiatric disorders and psychopharmacological treatments

• Knowledge of non-pharmacological interventions

• Exceptional verbal and written communication, organizational, and time management abilities

• Required to attend at least one clinical conference weekly for the first 90 days of employment, then monthly thereafter
