Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner – PMHNP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Deliver comprehensive individual psychiatric care through telehealth in an outpatient environment.

• Provide direct patient support and care.

• Perform patient evaluations and assessments.

• Create and implement treatment plans.

• Prescribe medications when necessary.

• Ensure that patient care adheres to relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

• Work collaboratively with therapists and prescribers within multidisciplinary teams.

• Engage in discussions regarding patient cases or clinical topics with collaborating therapists during regular staffing meetings.

• Participate in mandatory clinical conferences.

⛳️ Requirements

• A valid PMHNP license is required.

• Willingness to obtain licensure in additional states is encouraged.

• Previous experience as a PMHNP is preferred but not mandatory.

• Capability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of healthcare professionals.

• Proficient computer skills and basic technological abilities.

• Strong clinical expertise in psychiatry.

• Solid knowledge in diagnosing psychiatric disorders and administering psychopharmacological treatments.

• Awareness of non-pharmacological intervention strategies.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication, organizational, and time management skills.

• Required to attend at least one clinical conference weekly for the initial 90 days of employment; thereafter, one monthly conference is mandatory.
