Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner – PMHNP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +12 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver efficient individual psychiatric care through telehealth in an outpatient environment

• Render direct patient services

• Perform patient evaluations

• Formulate treatment strategies

• Prescribe medications when necessary

• Ensure that patient care adheres to relevant laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines

• Work alongside therapists and engage in monthly staffing meetings to discuss patient cases or clinical matters

• Participate in clinical conferences weekly for the first 90 days of employment, then monthly thereafter

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid PMHNP license in at least one of the following states: AZ, CO, IA, IL, MA, MD, MN, MS, NC, OH, TN, TX, or WA

• Openness to acquiring additional state licenses as required to enhance patient access

• Previous experience as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner is preferred but not mandatory

• Must not have ownership or operation of a private practice

• Capability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals

• Proficient computer skills and comfort with EHRs, telehealth platforms, and other essential technologies

• Strong clinical expertise in psychiatry and behavioral health

• In-depth understanding of diagnosing and treating psychiatric disorders and psychopharmacological treatments

• Knowledge of non-pharmacological and evidence-based behavioral health strategies

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities

• Strong organizational and time-management competencies

• Capacity to deliver patient-centered, evidence-based, and collaborative psychiatric care in a telehealth setting
