This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Deliver power system protection services, which encompass system model development, short circuit analysis, relay settings development, area coordination studies, standards development, relay operation analysis, and technical reviews of drawings and relay settings.
• Assist in project execution from the protection team, under the guidance of the Protection Supervisor.
• Guide junior engineers through direct training and technical review of their work.
• Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Over 5 years of experience in protection engineering.
• Expertise in ASPEN Oneliner software.
• Comprehensive understanding of system protection coordination and philosophy.
• Familiarity with common high voltage power system apparatus and inverter-based resources (IBR).
• Proficiency in Siemens APA (previously known as CAPE) or ETAP is regarded as an advantage.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Capability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
• Dedication to quality and precision.
• Readiness to adhere to fast-paced project timelines.
• A P.Eng. license is mandatory.
• A US PE license may also be required.
