Protection & Control Engineering Associate II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Interpret, comprehend, and assist in creating Protection & Control design drawings, which include Single Line, AC/DC Schematic, Elementary and Connection diagrams, Front & Rear View Layout/Elevation drawings, and Bills of Material.

• Develop connection diagrams derived from AC/DC schematics.

• Execute Protection & Control engineering design tasks for power delivery substations.

• Utilize AutoCAD for design-related assignments.

• Conduct self-reviews of design work prior to submission for external checking.

• Independently explore solutions to design challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3 to 6 years of experience in P&C and/or I&C design.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

• Capability to read, interpret, and assist in generating Protection & Control design drawings.

• Skill in creating connection diagrams based on AC/DC schematics.

• Proficiency in using AutoCAD.

• Intermediate skills in CAD applications.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word is advantageous.

• Experience in P&C design related to HV/MV substations and/or generation facilities is a plus.

• A curious and analytical approach to problem-solving.

• Capability to independently explore solutions before seeking assistance.

• Strong attention to detail.
