Proposal & Quoting Team Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop, implement, and maintain quoting processes, standards, guidelines, and procedures within the department, ensuring continual updates.

• Ensure that objectives are well-defined, progress is monitored, and results are regularly assessed.

• Manage the quoting queue and backlog to achieve or surpass SLOs.

• Oversee scheduling, time management, and utilization of team members, ensuring that every hour is profitable while adhering to workflows and procedures.

• Conduct proactive issue trending and data reporting to enhance key metrics.

• Carry out employee evaluations, manage headcount, oversee hiring, and handle overall HR responsibilities for your department, fostering a culture of continuous improvement through feedback, coaching, and employee growth.

• Communicate constructively with all stakeholders to ensure client expectations are met or exceeded.

• Review and manage the backlog of client quote requests to ensure appropriate scheduling and prioritization of services.

• Provide timely responses and guidance to client quote requests, either directly or through your team as necessary.

• Follow up with clients to confirm resolution and assess satisfaction levels.

• Act as a point of escalation for critical client issues, facilitating communication and collaboration across all departments.

• Support Strategic Advisors and Client Relationship Managers with unique or complex quoting requests.

• Monitor market trends continuously to identify standard models.

• Keep a close watch on margins to ensure targets are achieved.

• Oversee the company’s quoting and proposal templates.

• Collaborate with all departments to enhance overall client satisfaction.

• Maintain accurate and current documentation through change management processes.

• Ensure quality administrative outcomes from your team, such as real-time time entry, timely submission of timesheets and expenses, regular and appropriate client communications, and overall professionalism.

• Review, revise, submit, and annotate any invoicing related to your department.

• Lead within the company by participating in employee events, attending meetings, promoting positive morale, and holding all employees accountable, setting an exemplary standard for client service.

• Conduct one-on-one meetings with staff to ensure clarity of objectives, track progress, and review results, fostering a culture of high performance.

• Host morning huddles and weekly L10 meetings for your team.

• Attend training events and maintain necessary partner management certifications.

• Maintain an in-depth understanding of the products and services we provide.

• Perform additional duties as required.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant technical experience is required.

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant management or leadership experience is required.

• Experience in IT hardware and software sales is necessary.

• Knowledge of domain and SSL management is required.

• Experience in IT service delivery and managing client expectations is essential.

• Familiarity with ITIL standards and experience managing MS licensing is important.

• Knowledge of ConnectWise Manage and ConnectWise Sell is preferred.

• Ability to present information to senior management clearly and concisely is required.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the capability to build effective working relationships are essential.

• Experience in business analysis, profit/loss responsibility, and a solid understanding of financial concepts are necessary.

• Excellent client service skills, with the ability to build trust relationships with clients and coworkers while remaining calm in stressful situations, are required.
