This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +4 more states.
• Assess RFI/RFPs and engage in discussions with potential clients to ensure a comprehensive technical understanding of their requirements for developing a robust proposal.
• Work in conjunction with internal technical leads to formulate a program scope that aligns with the client's requests and the services and capabilities offered by Thermo Fisher Scientific.
• Create high-quality proposals along with supporting timelines and pricing documentation for various program types, including both Bio drug substance only and integrated service documents.
• This encompasses programs that traverse all clinical phases and a variety of molecule types, such as monoclonal antibodies, Fc-Fusion Proteins, Bispecific Antibodies, Recombinant Proteins, and complex proteins/enzymes.
• Collaborate closely with the Business Management team to establish and secure approved pricing that keeps the company competitive, based on hour estimates from the technical team and other operational costs.
• Assist and actively engage in customer calls to present the issued proposal and articulate Patheon's extensive range of services while offering options that meet the client's requirements.
• Serve as the intermediary between the technical team and the client.
• Facilitate and lead proposal discussions during client visits.
• Implement proposal revisions as necessary and help drive the program from proposal to contract signing.
• Maintain close collaboration with the Program Management team to transition awarded programs from proposals to management and execution teams through the Proposals to Project formal process.
• Regularly recommend and implement updates to proposal templates (stage language, cost model, timelines, etc.) based on feedback from subject matter experts and/or adjustments in processes/procedures following a structured template management process.
• Participate in proposal team initiatives and other business unit projects focused on process enhancement, efficiency improvements, and the adoption of new technologies and collaborations.
• Generally requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years with an advanced degree or equivalent work experience.
• A theoretical understanding of the Biologics drug substance manufacturing process and analytical support is strongly preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work standards.
• Outstanding organizational skills and effective personal time management.
• Strong interpersonal skills for customer-facing interactions.
• Proven ability to collaborate internally with technical, sales, business management, and leadership teams.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to quickly extract detailed information, lead discussions, and propose suitable solutions.
• A pragmatic, proactive, yet adaptable approach to the working environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both internally and externally.
• Proficient in MS Project, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
• Experience with Smart Sheet and Salesforce is preferred.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Capability to participate in or lead meetings (either via teleconference or in person) across various time zones (outside of typical business hours).
