Proposal Manager II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the entire proposal lifecycle, from the initial assessment of opportunities to the final submission of intricate, essential proposals.

• Oversee both new business ventures and retention opportunities.

• Create and uphold comprehensive project schedules while documenting client requirements.

• Delegate, communicate, and monitor responsibilities among cross-functional teams.

• Ensure that proposals meet established standards and adhere to RFP guidelines.

• Proactively identify risks and implement solutions to uphold timelines and maintain proposal quality.

• Develop proposal strategies, messaging, and structures that effectively showcase Alight’s value.

• Tailor standard content to better align with client objectives and needs.

• Compose or enhance executive summaries and technical documentation.

• Collaborate with sales, legal, finance, product, and subject matter experts to collect and synthesize necessary inputs.

• Work alongside graphics teams to ensure visuals and messaging are in harmony.

• Provide mentorship to junior proposal team members as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8–12+ years of experience in proposal management, preferably within the benefits sector.

• Proven ability to manage multiple high-stakes projects concurrently.

• Outstanding writing, editing, and persuasive communication abilities.

• Strong leadership, collaborative skills, and meticulous attention to detail under tight deadlines.

• Advanced knowledge of MS Office, including SharePoint, Word, and Excel.

• Proficient in Adobe Acrobat.

• Experienced with RFP/proposal software.

• Capability to synthesize complex information and adapt messaging for varied audiences.

• Completion of a background check is required if employment is offered.

• Must have work authorization in the Employing Country without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
