This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Manages responses to RFQ/RFP releases and various calls for proposals;
• Drives the development of proposals independently and coordinates proposal stakeholder teams to guarantee that submissions fulfill all customer requirements;
• Prepares and aids in the submission of proposals, including reviewing for compliance, outlining, and ensuring timely submission with necessary approvals;
• Organizes and leads bid review sessions, encompassing bid/no bid discussions, and ensures that successful strategies are defined and effectively communicated in the submission as required (for competitive bids);
• Provides guidance for the creation of technical, management, and cost inputs to align with the RFP requirements and bid strategy;
• Leads and coordinates ongoing proposal meetings to identify and address issues and share relevant information;
• Oversees the assembly and production of complete submissions that meet all RFP requirements;
• Leads or participates in kick-off meetings; manages the team's efforts throughout the writing process; supervises proposal reviews; secures management and corporate approvals; and ensures compliant and timely proposal submission;
• Manages multiple bids and proposals with shifting priorities;
• Leads or contributes to process improvement initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Finance, or a related field;
• Required experience in project management, with at least 7-10 years of relevant experience;
• In-depth knowledge of the Aviation/Aerospace market and customer base is essential;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office business applications;
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP), MS Dynamics CRM, or similar platforms is preferred but not essential;
• Strong capabilities in planning, problem-solving, critical thinking, analysis, and research;
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
• Experience in team leadership with a proven ability to collaborate effectively; an active listener, cooperative, proactive, and influential;
• Balanced business acumen;
• Capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, particularly in team leadership.
