This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Create and respond to requests for information and proposals.
• Work in conjunction with subject matter experts to ensure proposals are completed accurately and on time.
• Review and assess RFP and RFQ opportunities alongside regional leadership and SMEs.
• Organize and respond to opportunities to guarantee timely and precise submissions.
• Provide initial drafts to SMEs and integrate their edits and updates.
• Ensure that drafts comply with requirements, are responsive, and tailored to the client's expectations.
• Safeguard the security and integrity of proposal documentation.
• Identify and document new requirements in collaboration with SMEs.
• Facilitate the internal flow and review of proposal inputs.
• Oversee the production of final master proposals.
• Establish and maintain response timelines to meet deadlines.
• Assist in developing and maintaining proposal best practices.
• Conduct RFP follow-up, update the proposal library, and handle other ad hoc assignments.
• Build and manage teaming relationships to support RFP requirements and participation objectives.
• Contribute to the organization’s quality programs and perform other assigned tasks.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience is required, ideally in engineering, construction, architecture, or other professional services.
• At least four (4) years of relevant experience or an equivalent blend of education and experience is necessary.
• A minimum of one (1) year of project management experience is required.
• At least one (1) year of proofreading and editing experience is required.
• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Preferred: eight (8) to ten (10) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Over five (5) years of proposal management experience preferred, ideally in environmental, engineering, construction, architecture, or other professional services sectors.
• Preferably, a minimum of five (5) years of proofreading and editing experience.
• Experience in creating proposals in response to public-agency RFQs and RFPs at city, county, state, and federal levels, particularly in California and Texas.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with project pursuit teams.
• Capability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and deliver results.
• Strong grammar and proofreading abilities.
• Familiarity with relevant software.
• Good project management, time management, and organizational skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in PC, including Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and within a team setting.
• Capacity to meet or exceed performance competencies and deadlines.
• Ability to forge and manage teaming relationships to support RFP requirements, including minority and subcontracting participation goals.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities, work-related stress, troubleshooting, problem-solving, analysis, and discretion.
• Proficient in computer keyboarding; travel as necessary.
