This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Deliver administrative and programmatic assistance throughout all phases of federal and state grant program lifecycles, from pre-award evaluation to project execution, progress tracking, and award conclusion.
• Manage mitigation initiatives and collaborate with counties, municipalities, states, federal agencies, applicants, and various stakeholders.
• Assess project applications, ensure adherence to procedures, respond to inquiries, and submit finalized recovery project applications to FEMA for funding approval.
• Prepare project agreements, evaluate requested changes, and update agreements until execution.
• Supervise ongoing projects, review quality reports, process payments, liaise with stakeholders, and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Gather, analyze, structure, and summarize financial and grant-related data.
• Assist with federal and client-specific reporting obligations.
• Monitor and track budgets while communicating outcomes to project and client management.
• Research and maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulations for FEMA, ARPA, SLFRF, IIJA, and other federal funding initiatives.
• Foster trusted advisor relationships with clients, project management, state agencies, sub-recipients, and internal subject matter experts.
• Conduct site visits, outline funding opportunities and program specifics, promote participation, and assist with application processes.
• Aid clients in managing FEMA fund performance by evaluating portfolios, anticipating challenges, and offering recommendations.
• Oversee final project evaluations and closure procedures for completed recovery initiatives.
• A bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, Hazard Mitigation, Urban Planning, Public Administration, Water/Conservation Management, Environmental Science, Emergency Management, Economics, or a related discipline is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience is required.
• Preference for candidates located in FL or Southern GA.
• Experience in sales or account management is considered advantageous.
• Proficient in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office 365, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Apps (BI, Query, Automate).
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Up to 50% travel may be required depending on program assignment.
