Project Scientist – Ajami Lab

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +7 more states.

📋 Description

• Support the development of grant proposals, submissions, publications, and presentations, without the obligation of securing grant funding.

• Act as Principal Investigator (PI) for specific grants as authorized by the supervising member of the Professorial Series.

• Contribute to publications and presentations as an author or co-author.

• Create, modify, and apply new research techniques and protocols.

• Provide assistance in laboratory experiments.

• Analyze, interpret, summarize, and compile research data.

• Supervise or mentor Staff Research Associates and Research Fellows.

• Aid in the daily operations of the laboratory.

• Cultivate an independent line of research if appointed on an academic trajectory.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Doctorate degree is required; a PhD or MD/PhD in Immunology, Neuroscience, or a closely related discipline.

• Completion of postdoctoral scholar training, as applicable.

• A strong publication history, including first-author papers in relevant fields.

• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills.
