📋 Description

• Conduct data analysis at the wafer level for PIC and assess yield performance.

• Design and model components for integrated photonics.

• Execute circuit-level simulations and manage layout tasks.

• Validate packaged photonic integrated circuits (PICs) and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

• Assist in the development of photodetectors through design, testing, validation, and qualification of components.

• Engage in the design, simulation, characterization, and validation of integrated photodetectors, with potential to take on technical leadership roles.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Ph.D. in electrical engineering, optical engineering, or a closely related discipline, or an M.S. coupled with industry experience in integrated photonics or semiconductor device development.

• A solid understanding of the physics of integrated photonics devices, encompassing both passive and active devices.

• Expertise in simulation tools for photonic components and circuits, such as Lumerical MODE, FDTD, and Interconnect, or their equivalents.

• Advanced programming, data analysis, and visualization capabilities in Python-based environments.

• Practical experience in PIC layout and tape-out processes for leading silicon photonics foundries.

• Previous involvement in the design and characterization of integrated photodetectors, including device modeling and experimental assessment of key performance metrics (preferred).
