Senior ASIC Design Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Execute RTL designs utilizing Verilog/System Verilog for high-speed data pathways and packet processing functionalities.

• Partner with verification engineers to develop block- and system-level testing strategies.

• Establish timing constraints for RTL components and collaborate with Physical Design engineers to achieve timing closure.

• Assist in post-silicon validation efforts with hardware, firmware, and software teams to troubleshoot and resolve ASIC-related issues.

• Contribute to performance enhancement and power-efficient design methodologies for Host Fabric Interface subsystems.

⛳️ Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 8 years of post-collegiate experience in digital design.

• Expertise in Verilog and System Verilog.

• Background in RTL design for high-speed data pathways or packet processing within ASICs.

• In-depth knowledge of Host Ethernet adapter architectures.

• Familiarity with timing closure and contemporary physical design practices.

• Demonstrated capability in system-level debugging and root cause analysis of technical challenges.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Understanding of Ethernet architecture and networking protocols.

• Previous experience with RTL development for Ethernet host adapters and system debugging.

• Proficiency in designs involving multiple clock domains and asynchronous interfaces.

• At least 5 years of experience with scripting languages such as TCL, Python, or Perl.

• Acquainted with EDA tools like Design Compiler, Spyglass, or PrimeTime.

• Must be a resident of the United States.
