This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise the pursuit and execution of Special Projects and Innovation initiatives.
• Lead initiatives from initial concept development through lab prototyping, field piloting, and transition to long-term owners.
• Coordinate technical leads, vendors, project resources, and stakeholders across multiple simultaneous efforts.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, capacities, risks, and obstacles.
• Assess and evaluate unique initiatives entering the SPI pipeline.
• Monitor resource allocation, budgets, and capacities across concurrent initiatives.
• Recognize, escalate, and resolve project risks and blockers.
• Implement regular reporting and review summaries for project teams.
• Prepare program-level summary reports and present during routine project updates.
• Uphold documentation standards for product delivery.
• Travel to job sites for system demonstrations and field pilots.
• Collaborate with cross-functional resources to ensure timely implementation.
• Facilitate the transition of mature initiatives to long-term owners and archive project documentation.
• Organize project postmortems and lessons-learned reviews.
• Act as the primary contact for client satisfaction and product lifecycle.
• Utilize AI-enabled and digital tools to boost efficiency and minimize manual effort.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and aid in the adoption of innovative tools.
• Complete assigned tasks and deliverables on schedule and within budget.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Over 5 years of experience managing technical projects or programs, including software, controls, or IoT initiatives.
• Advanced program and project management capabilities for multiple simultaneous technical initiatives, encompassing budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
• Proficiency with project management and work tracking tools such as Smartsheet or similar applications.
• Familiarity with backlog and ticketing tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar platforms.
• Experience in identifying, escalating, and resolving risks and blockers across cross-functional teams.
• Coordination of vendors and stakeholders, including scope, procurement, and delivery tracking.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle and BAS/IOT systems to effectively coordinate engineering resources and review technical progress.
• Knowledge of IoT and smart building solutions.
• Proficient in using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams) and file management.
• Ability to effectively work in a remote environment, demonstrating strong communication and organizational skills, self-motivation, proactiveness, resourcefulness, and maintaining a distraction-free workspace.
• Commitment to adhere to company and site safety protocols.
• Capability to utilize AI and emerging technologies to enhance workflows and optimize operational processes.
• Skill in analyzing and preparing documents, reports, and correspondence.
• Competence in communicating effectively both orally and in writing with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to engage directly with stakeholders and serve as the primary contact for clients as necessary.
• Capacity to work independently and collaboratively as a team member with moderate supervision.
• Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficient at planning and delegating tasks to others.
• Ability to obtain certification for NFPA70E and/or OSHA training as required.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
• Capability to meet physical demands, including manipulating small parts/tools, remaining stationary, navigating through office and critical facility environments, using stairs/ladders, working in confined spaces, and occasionally lifting equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% to job sites and lab environments, possibly across all 50 US states.
• Valid REAL ID or acceptable alternative, such as a passport, required for domestic air travel effective May 7, 2025.
• Preferred project management credentials include PMP, CAPM, Agile/Scrum, or similar qualifications.
