This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Plan and manage small decentralized public water and wastewater systems.
• Oversee the design of efficient and constructible civil engineering projects.
• Estimate labor hours and budgets; analyze job costing reports and implement corrective measures.
• Build and sustain client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and alignment with client goals.
• Provide mentorship to emerging design professionals.
• Engage in business development initiatives and participate in professional organizations and events.
• Manage total project budgets of $400K annually while achieving profitability objectives.
• Generate $300K in new project work each year.
• Draft and review technical reports and proposals.
• Prepare and deliver marketing presentations.
• Recruit and oversee subcontractors.
• Mentor and train scientific personnel, ensuring the delivery of high-quality work products.
• Guarantee the safe execution of project tasks.
• A minimum of 10 years' experience as a consulting engineer in the permitting, design, and construction of water and wastewater system projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or environmental engineering.
• Possession of a Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration.
• Strong understanding of civil design and construction standards, as well as environmental conditions and constraints.
• Demonstrated ability to meet project deadlines and budgetary constraints.
• Capacity to devise innovative engineering solutions to project challenges.
• Skill in building client relationships.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with clients, staff, and management.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and HydroCAD.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
• Professional accreditation.
• Skills in technical writing, technical oversight, business development, project management, and mentoring/training.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and CRM systems.
• Experience with Deltek Vision is highly preferred.
• 8–12 years of experience in environmental field sampling, data collection, and MCP report preparation under the guidance of a Licensed Site Professional (LSP).
