Project Manager – Power Generation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Strategize and execute medium- to large-scale multidisciplinary engineering initiatives utilizing resources from various office locations.

• Aid in business development by defining project scopes, developing fees, preparing proposals, conducting interviews, negotiating terms, and drafting contracts.

• Submit documentation to federal, state, and local authorities for compliance review and secure necessary permits.

• Engage with client management to address issues and secure approvals for project completion.

• Foster ongoing client relationships as part of business development initiatives.

• Plan, communicate, organize, and coordinate project engagements effectively.

• Develop project opening orders, outlines, initiation documents, schedules, execution plans, and closure reports.

• Meet project goals concerning quality, scope, budget, and timelines.

• Maintain precise and thorough project records.

• Meet engagement performance metrics, including target margins, revenue, and multiplier.

• Evaluate project performance, resource utilization, profitability, margins, and revenue streams.

• Recognize out-of-scope work and manage as well as negotiate contract change orders.

• Identify and manage project risks from the proposal stage through to project completion.

• Utilize a fundamental understanding of the commercial aspects associated with energy projects.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, construction management, or business from an accredited institution.

• At least 7 years of progressively responsible experience in the energy engineering sector.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management.

• Familiarity with thermal generation projects, such as gas turbines and reciprocating engines.

• Strong financial management skills.

• Proven track record in managing large multidisciplinary programs, projects across multiple offices, and/or several concurrent projects.

• Excellent time management abilities.

• MBA is preferred.

• Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.

• Project Management Institute (PMI) certification is preferred.
