This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.
• The Early Phase Project Manager oversees the initiation, execution, and completion of research projects, aligning with the reasonable expectations of the project originator.
• Accountable for all facets of study management activities, including leading and coordinating cross-functional teams, managing client communications, overseeing financial aspects, and ensuring overall study delivery.
• Ensure that studies are appropriately resourced, efficiently managed, meet project goals within set budgets and timelines, and adhere to the highest standards of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), regulatory standards, and relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Provide mentorship and coaching to Junior Project Management staff or Clinical Delivery Leads, supporting their technical growth.
• Operate independently or with assistance from Portfolio Delivery Leads or Line Manager.
• Foster effective professional relationships with external stakeholders, including customers, investigators, and vendors.
• Cultivate strong professional relationships with the internal project team, including those providing academic insights.
• Offer clear direction to the project team regarding project-specific deliverables.
• Participate in relevant project-specific meetings, including formal kick-off sessions.
• Create project plans and additional internal project management documentation.
• Coordinate the feasibility planning and site selection process for projects.
• Identify project-specific activities that require outsourcing and engage in the selection of appropriate vendors.
• Oversee the implementation, continuous evaluation, prioritization, reporting, and timely execution of all operational components of assigned projects.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific or related discipline.
• Prior experience working on clinical projects within an academic, CRO, or pharmaceutical company setting.
• Recommended relevant work experience for this role is approximately seven (7) years within the industry, including 1-2 years in project management.
• Proficiency in Mandarin is a mandatory requirement for this position.
• Prior experience as a Clinical Research Associate (CRA) or in site management, trial coordination, or relevant industry experience is preferred.
• Experience in managing early-phase studies and healthy volunteer trials is advantageous but not essential.
• Experience managing single or multiple regions, across various therapeutic indications, and handling full-service studies, particularly in early-phase clinical trials.
• Strong knowledge of ICH/GCP and the ability to implement project activities in accordance with all applicable regulations and guidelines in the relevant regions.
• Prior exposure to client-facing interactions and/or client management is beneficial.
• Experience in project finance management.
• Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills, along with team leadership capabilities, including leading virtual teams in diverse cultural environments and managing conflict effectively.
