This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Oversee assigned Major Component Upgrade (MCU) and Blade projects from the planning phase through to completion.

• Take responsibility for safety, quality, timelines, cost management, customer satisfaction, and adherence to contractual obligations.

• Advocate for a safety culture and manage project Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) performance along with the resolution of corrective actions.

• Ensure adherence to GE Vernova standards, customer specifications, regulatory requirements, prevailing wage laws, and accuracy of certified payroll.

• Keep project documentation, quality records, inspection reports, punch lists, and final customer acceptance materials ready for audits.

• Lead efforts for lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Formulate execution plans and facilitate project kickoff meetings.

• Track progress and manage risks, issues, and recovery strategies.

• Carry out daily, weekly, and milestone-based project assessments.

• Create budgets, forecasts, cost controls, and strategies for financial risk mitigation.

• Assist with invoicing, change orders, and cost recovery measures.

• Act as the main representative for customers and conduct customer status meetings.

• Manage customer expectations, escalations, and planning for recovery.

• Coordinate with subcontractors, crane providers, logistics vendors, and equipment suppliers.

• Collaborate with scheduling and resource management teams to ensure staffing and equipment availability.

• Organize site mobilization, tooling, crane logistics, outage planning, and tracking of customer availability.

• Confirm project readiness before executing in the field.

• Foster the development of future project leaders and encourage cross-functional teamwork.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Project Management, or a related field; equivalent experience in the field will be considered.

• At least 2 years of experience in wind energy, industrial construction, heavy lifting operations, field services, or similar sectors.

• Proven experience in managing Major Component Upgrades, Blade projects, or comparable large-scale field operations.

• Familiarity with crane operations, lift planning, rigging practices, and site logistics.

• Experience working on projects within prevailing wage settings.

• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.

• Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic operational environment.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Smartsheet, and project management software.

• PMP certification or equivalent project management training is preferred.

• Experience with major component exchanges in wind turbines is preferred.

• Background in blade repair or replacement projects is preferred.

• Knowledge of labor compliance and certified payroll procedures is preferred.

• Experience managing subcontracted workforces is preferred.

• Training in Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.

• Experience collaborating directly with utility-scale renewable energy clients is preferred.

• Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screening, as required.
