This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Oversee designated Major Component Upgrade (MCU) and Blade projects from the planning phase to project completion.

• Maintain responsibility for safety, quality, timelines, costs, customer satisfaction, and adherence to contractual agreements.

• Promote a safety-first culture and lead the project’s EHS performance along with the resolution of corrective actions.

• Ensure adherence to GE Vernova standards, customer specifications, regulatory requirements, prevailing wage laws, and accurate certified payroll.

• Keep project documentation audit-ready while managing quality documentation, inspection records, punch lists, and final acceptance from customers.

• Facilitate lessons learned sessions and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Develop execution strategies and lead the kickoff meetings for projects.

• Track progress and handle risks, issues, and recovery strategies effectively.

• Conduct daily, weekly, and milestone-based project evaluations.

• Create budgets, forecasts, cost management strategies, and financial risk mitigation plans.

• Assist with invoicing, change requests, and opportunities for cost recovery.

• Act as the representative for assigned projects to customers, lead status meetings, provide updates, and address any concerns.

• Coordinate with subcontractors, crane services, logistics providers, and equipment vendors.

• Collaborate with scheduling and resource management teams to ensure staffing and equipment availability.

• Oversee site mobilization, tooling, crane logistics, outage planning, and tracking customer availability.

• Guarantee project readiness prior to field execution.

• Foster teamwork, customer-focused execution, ongoing improvement, and the development of future project leaders.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Project Management, or a related field; equivalent experience is acceptable.

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in wind energy, industrial construction, heavy lift operations, field services, or similar sectors.

• Proven experience managing Major Component Upgrades, Blade projects, or comparable large-scale field operations.

• Understanding of crane operations, lift planning, rigging methods, and site logistics.

• Experience working on projects in environments governed by prevailing wage regulations.

• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.

• Capacity to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic operational setting.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Smartsheet, and other project management software.

• Legally permitted to work in the United States.

• PMP certification or equivalent project management training is preferred.

• Experience with major component exchanges for wind turbines is preferred.

• Background in blade repair or replacement projects is preferred.

• Familiarity with labor compliance and certified payroll processes is preferred.

• Experience managing subcontracted workforces is preferred.

• Training in Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.

• Experience collaborating directly with utility-scale renewable energy clients is preferred.

• Successful completion of a drug screening, if applicable.
