This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Oversee the assigned Major Component Upgrade (MCU) and Blade projects from initiation to completion.

• Take responsibility for safety, quality, timelines, budget, customer satisfaction, and adherence to contractual obligations.

• Promote a culture of safety and manage project EHS performance, ensuring timely closure of corrective actions.

• Ensure adherence to safety regulations, client requirements, compliance with laws, prevailing wage standards, and accuracy in certified payroll.

• Maintain project documentation in an audit-ready state and manage quality records, inspection logs, punch lists, and final acceptance by the customer.

• Lead the gathering of lessons learned and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

• Create execution plans, facilitate kickoff meetings, track progress, and handle risks, issues, and recovery strategies.

• Conduct project reviews on a daily, weekly, and milestone basis.

• Develop and oversee project budgets, forecasts, and cost management strategies.

• Monitor expenses related to labor, equipment, cranes, subcontractors, travel, and materials.

• Manage invoicing processes, change orders, and opportunities for cost recovery.

• Act as the primary representative for clients and lead meetings to update customers on project status.

• Handle customer expectations, escalations, concerns, and recovery planning effectively.

• Coordinate with subcontractors, crane service providers, logistics vendors, and equipment suppliers.

• Assess vendor and contractor performance to ensure compliance.

• Oversee staffing, equipment readiness, site mobilization, tooling, crane logistics, outage planning, and tracking customer availability.

• Ensure all project elements are prepared prior to field execution.

• Foster the development of future project leaders while encouraging collaboration and ongoing improvement.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Project Management, or a related field; equivalent experience is also acceptable.

• At least 2 years of experience in wind energy, industrial construction, heavy lifting operations, field services, or comparable fields.

• Proven experience managing Major Component Upgrades, Blade projects, or similar large-scale field operations.

• Familiarity with crane operations, lift planning, rigging techniques, and site logistics.

• Experience in managing projects within environments that require prevailing wages.

• Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.

• Capability to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic operational setting.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Smartsheet, and other project management software.

• PMP certification or equivalent project management education is preferred.

• Experience with major component exchanges in wind turbines is preferred.

• Background in blade repair or replacement projects is preferred.

• Knowledge of labor compliance and certified payroll processes is preferred.

• Experience managing subcontracted teams is preferred.

• Training in Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.

• Experience collaborating directly with utility-scale renewable energy clients is preferred.

• Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screening may be required.
