This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Foster a robust safety culture by leading through example.

• Take ownership of project EHS performance and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.

• Guarantee adherence to safety standards, customer specifications, regulatory requirements, prevailing wage mandates, and accurate certified payroll.

• Sustain audit-ready documentation for all project activities.

• Manage quality documentation, inspection records, punch list handling, and final acceptance by customers.

• Facilitate lessons learned sessions and initiatives for continuous improvement.

• Oversee the complete execution of assigned Major Component Upgrade and Blade projects.

• Create execution plans that align with customer expectations and operational limitations.

• Conduct project kickoff meetings to set clear expectations with field teams and stakeholders.

• Track progress while managing risks, issues, and recovery plans.

• Lead daily, weekly, and milestone-based project reviews.

• Ensure project completions are safe, timely, within budget, and meet quality standards.

• Formulate and oversee project budgets, forecasts, and cost management strategies.

• Track costs associated with labor, equipment, crane operations, subcontractors, travel, and materials.

• Identify financial risks and devise mitigation strategies.

• Oversee invoicing support, change orders, and opportunities for cost recovery.

• Act as the main point of contact for customers.

• Conduct customer status meetings and provide updates on project execution.

• Manage customer expectations while addressing any concerns that arise.

• Assist in escalation management and recovery planning.

• Coordinate efforts with subcontractors, crane service providers, logistics vendors, and equipment suppliers.

• Monitor vendor and contractor performance to ensure compliance.

• Aid in contractor onboarding and evaluation of performance.

• Organize staffing, equipment availability, site mobilization, tooling, crane planning, logistics, outage planning, and tracking customer availability.

• Ensure readiness of projects prior to field execution.

• Mentor future project leaders and advocate for continuous improvement.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Project Management, or a related field; equivalent experience in the field may be accepted.

• At least 2 years of experience within the wind energy, industrial construction, heavy lift operations, field services, or related industries.

• Proven experience managing Major Component Upgrades, Blade projects, or similar large-scale field operations.

• Familiarity with crane operations, lift planning, rigging techniques, and site logistics.

• Experience in projects governed by prevailing wage regulations.

• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.

• Capability to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic operational setting.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Smartsheet, and project management software.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

• PMP certification or equivalent project management training is preferred.

• Previous experience with wind turbine major component exchanges is advantageous.

• Background in blade repair or replacement projects is preferred.

• Understanding of labor compliance and certified payroll processes is beneficial.

• Experience in managing subcontracted workforces is preferred.

• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is favorable.

• Prior experience working directly with utility-scale renewable energy customers is preferred.
