This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the tracking and management of permitting processes for New Store Openings and diverse Retail Development projects throughout the organization.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders, utilizing strong communication and organizational abilities, to assist our real estate, design, and construction teams in facilitating the launch of new RISE dispensaries and related initiatives.
• Conduct research on municipal and regulatory codes as necessary for cross-functional teams.
• Aid in the development of municipal presentations and zoning exhibits as needed to support submissions.
• Assist in the preparation and submission of applications to various agencies that oversee the necessary permits and/or approvals.
• Provide the real estate team with zoning site verification to ensure that the selected property is appropriately zoned and complies with all local and state requirements for cannabis siting.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and expeditors to streamline the permit application process.
• Maintain close communication with municipalities regarding the status of permits and ensure timely processing.
• Effectively communicate project status, timelines, and challenges to both internal and external stakeholders through written and verbal updates.
• Create and maintain schedules for all projects while coordinating with municipalities from approval through to the final stages of the permitting process.
• Accurately project dates and inform the construction team of anticipated permit issue dates to optimize construction mobilization.
• Manage and enhance the tracking and documentation/reporting of permitting status for new store openings, remodels, and conversions.
• Keep all internal files related to applications, approvals, and permits current and organized.
• A minimum of 5 years of permitting/compliance experience in a general contractor, retailer, or comparable paralegal capacity.
• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• A solid understanding of the construction industry is essential.
• Capability to read and comprehend construction documents.
• Outstanding problem-solving abilities – analytical, innovative, and creative mindset.
• Proficiency in structuring and managing demanding workloads.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative, and capable of working independently or collaboratively while exercising sound judgment, common sense, and resourcefulness.
• Ability to adapt and flourish in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
• Operates with a high degree of professionalism and integrity, especially when handling confidential information.
• Must understand and comply with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of Green Thumb.
• Must possess a thorough understanding of cannabis laws, rules, and regulations, along with a passion for expanding knowledge of the industry and its legal framework.
• The compensation range is competitive and determined by experience, qualifications, and/or job location.
• Positions may qualify for a discretionary annual incentive program based on organizational and individual performance.
