This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana, +3 more states.
• Lead cross-functional teams to advance regional, operating unit, or system initiatives, strategies, issue resolutions, and alignment throughout Sutter Health
• Organize, plan, monitor, and manage three or more concurrent, long-term projects of considerable size, scope, budget, or impact
• Create project work plans and set up communication and risk management strategies
• Revamp workflow processes, develop and assess metrics, and evaluate return on investment
• Delegate project tasks and supervise Project Managers and Project Coordinators
• Independently oversee assigned projects while adhering to broad policy guidelines and exercising expert authority
• Utilize Project Management Institute tools and standards to ensure projects remain on schedule and aligned with other initiatives
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of telehealth policies and regulations to inform virtual health programs and projects
• Collaborate with executive leadership, sponsors, operations, medical groups, service lines, informatics, and digital teams
• Apply knowledge of healthcare systems, including clinical operations, care delivery models, HIPAA, and CMS regulations
• Utilize experience in virtual care, including telehealth platforms, remote monitoring, and emerging digital health trends
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, public health administration, or a related field
• Equivalent experience may be considered in place of the required degree or diploma
• At least 8 years of recent relevant experience
• Comprehensive understanding of project management processes, encompassing resource allocation, risk management, issues management, time, financial, and quality management
• Experience in monitoring, reporting, documentation, and record-keeping
• Strong business background with an understanding of project operations, technical challenges, and industry hurdles
• Capability to direct, monitor, train, coach, and assign tasks to project staff
• Proficient in collaborating across disciplines and communicating effectively, clearly, and diplomatically with management, vendors, peers, and staff
• Adaptability and flexibility in handling deadline pressures, ambiguity, and change
• Proficient in planning and facilitating meetings
• Extensive knowledge of Lean management systems
• Ability to garner cooperation and support through influence and persuasion
• Strong conceptual, analytical, negotiation, problem-solving skills, and ability to develop actionable recommendations
• Working knowledge of telehealth policies and regulations
• Familiarity with healthcare systems, including clinical operations, care delivery models, HIPAA, and CMS
• Experience with virtual care, including telehealth platforms, remote monitoring, and digital health trends
• Certifications in digital health, telemedicine, or healthcare leadership are preferred qualifications (e.g., CPHIMS, FACHE, CMPE, Telehealth Certification Institute credentials)
