Project Manager, IT Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define the scope, goals, and deliverables of the project.

• Create comprehensive project plans to steer all initiatives related to the network.

• Lead cross-functional teams comprising network engineers, system administrators, vendors, and other technical resources to ensure the successful execution of projects.

• Identify risks and challenges associated with the project, develop mitigation strategies, and address issues promptly.

• Ensure projects are completed within budget and provide recommendations for resource allocation and optimization.

• Keep stakeholders, executives, and clients regularly informed about project progress, challenges, and solutions.

• Collaborate closely with external vendors to manage procurement, installation, and support of network systems.

• Ensure that all network infrastructure is designed, implemented, and rigorously tested to meet the highest quality and security standards.

• Maintain thorough project documentation, including schedules, reports, and status updates.

• Offer post-project support, including troubleshooting and resolving any network-related issues that may arise after implementation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in managing network-related projects (e.g., LAN, WAN, data centers, or cloud network services).

• Strong project management expertise, with familiarity in Agile or Waterfall methodologies.

• In-depth knowledge of network architecture, protocols, hardware, and software.

• Understanding of network security best practices and tools.

• Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines effectively.

• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders.

• Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and resource management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Trello).

• Ability to analyze data, identify issues, and provide solutions in a dynamic environment.
