This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Oversee the complete execution of small- and medium-sized substation projects.
• Directly or indirectly lead and manage project resources.
• Manage project scope, schedule, costs to completion, risks, and opportunities.
• Deliver projects according to specifications, budget, and timeline while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Meet objectives for project profitability, sales turnover, and free cash flow.
• Prepare documents for project acceptance and project reviews.
• Regularly review project progress and conduct monthly evaluations with regional leadership.
• Ensure compliance with budget, quality standards, local and GE Vernova regulations, and EHS requirements.
• Organize meetings with customers to discuss and resolve any issues.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, managers, and engineers.
• Provide ongoing customer care and satisfaction.
• Assist Sales with tenders, including preparation of execution budgets and participation in tender clarification meetings.
• Create project resource plans and ensure that appropriate resources are available.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, and construction disciplines at both local and regional levels.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 10 years of experience in managing international, multi-disciplinary projects.
• Extensive knowledge of technical and contractual requirements for high-voltage substation projects.
• Strong technical expertise in electrical networks and T&D technologies, including AIS/GIS switchgear, transformers, and associated cabling.
• Proven ability to lead, organize, and develop multiple teams, including staffing and training plans.
• Proficient in project planning, resource allocation, financial management, and legal/contractual administration.
• Familiarity with project management software and methodologies, such as MS Project and Primavera.
• Understanding of international standards like IEC and local market practices.
• Comprehensive knowledge of T&D products and systems, particularly transmission and distribution substations.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work across different time zones and monitor, read, and respond to communications outside of normal working hours.
