This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
• Oversee extensive furniture projects that encompass various customer locations across the nation.
• Collaborate effectively as a member of a customer-centric team.
• Develop project timelines and navigate deadlines and project intricacies.
• Interpret construction drawings, furniture specification plans, and architectural blueprints.
• Comprehend building interfaces related to electrical and data systems.
• Manage project budgets, allocate resources, and identify potential risks.
• Engage with tradespeople and end-user client groups.
• Communicate project information clearly through strong oral and written skills.
• Travel around 40–50% annually within the designated market area, with an additional 10% out of market, including occasional overnight stays.
• Must reside in St Louis, MO; Kansas City, MO; Chicago, IL; Indianapolis, IN, or nearby areas.
• Proven experience as a furniture Project Manager with a background in large projects and multiple nationwide customer locations.
• Capability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a strong customer focus.
• Proficient in creating project timelines and handling deadlines and project complexities.
• Familiarity with building interfaces for electrical and data systems.
• Skillful in budgeting projects, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Good presentation capabilities.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, furniture specification plans, and architectural designs.
• Excellent project management abilities.
• Strong business insight.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Competent in computer applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Keen attention to detail.
• High School Diploma is required.
• At least three (3) years of project management and/or design and/or construction experience is necessary.
• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• Experience with a furniture dealership or manufacturer is advantageous.
• CAPM or higher certification preferred (PMP).
