This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +2 more states.
• Manage the operations of Truss Design Services and Truss Implementations.
• Coordinate projects with Design Services and Component Review Services teams as well as internal and external clients.
• Document, schedule, manage, design, and effectively communicate project details.
• Delegate tasks to and supervise the Associate Project Manager.
• Oversee and monitor the Design Services process utilizing project management software.
• Plan, track, and convey project progress to team members and stakeholders.
• Maintain up-to-date plans and timelines while providing progress reports to stakeholders.
• Keep records and generate periodic reports on team performance and throughput.
• Review and enhance project management processes across Operations & Distribution Teams.
• Enhance processes and tools for initiating, tracking, and completing projects.
• Assist sales teams with client needs assessments and evaluations for software or services suitability.
• Provide advice on software technical capabilities during product demonstrations.
• Identify customer technical requirements and confirm the fit of software solutions.
• Support Help Desk inquiries via direct lines or customer support software when available.
• Aid in software implementation by establishing measures for customer success and advising on best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree and/or a diploma in Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or Engineering Design/Drafting is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the design and engineering of prefabricated metal plate connected wood trusses and engineered wood products (EWP).
• Knowledge of wood-framed construction practices, details, relevant building codes, and design standards.
• Proficiency in applying basic algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
• Capability to read and interpret construction documents, including architectural and structural drawings.
• Skill in presenting information and addressing questions from managers, clients, customers, colleagues, and the general public.
• Competence in writing reports and business correspondence.
• Ability to define problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Capability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, managing both abstract and concrete variables.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite and Truss Design Software.
• Working knowledge of SQL databases.
• Basic understanding of computer networking.
• Knowledge of hardware and software troubleshooting.
• A driving record that complies with company policy, maintained throughout employment.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time.
• Successful completion of a drug screening and criminal background check is required for job offer.
