Project Manager – Child Welfare

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Oversee and guide technical projects from their inception to successful completion.

• Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within scope, and in alignment with business goals.

• Collaborate with engineering, product, operations, and stakeholders to outline scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, and success criteria.

• Create and sustain project plans, timelines, status reports, RAID logs, and communication strategies.

• Organize resources and lead meetings effectively.

• Facilitate issue resolution and proactively eliminate obstacles.

• Monitor progress against commitments and handle changes in project scope.

• Raise risks or impediments as necessary.

• Promote process enhancements and establish best practices, tools, and standards in project management.

• Assist in Business Development initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• More than ten (10) years of experience in technical project management, program management, or related roles in a technology setting.

• A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or an equivalent project or program management certification is mandatory.

• At least 3 years of experience managing technology projects for State Health and Human Services agencies, preferably in Child Welfare.

• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and drive cross-functional execution in a dynamic environment.

• Strong comprehension of project management and Agile methodologies.

• Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the capability to prioritize competing demands.

• Proficient in project management tools like Jira, Confluence, or Microsoft ADO.

• Experience in enterprise platform or cloud-based technology ecosystems.

• Proven track record of leading large-scale or highly intricate technical projects.

• Ability to analyze data and produce executive-level reports and presentations.

• Willingness to travel to client sites regularly.

• Must be a US citizen or a permanent resident.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust; approved adjudication is required before onboarding.

• Familiarity with CCWIS federal guidelines is a plus.

• Prior experience with CCWIS projects is advantageous.
