Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Guatemala.

📋 Description

• Oversee projects from their inception and planning stages through to execution and successful completion.

• Create and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, deliverables, and critical paths.

• Coordinate various teams and workstreams to ensure alignment and effective execution.

• Proactively identify and manage cross-team dependencies, risks, blockers, and issues.

• Set clear priorities, ownership, and accountability throughout the project teams.

• Monitor project progress to ensure deliverables align with timelines and objectives.

• Facilitate project meetings, planning sessions, status reviews, and other necessary ceremonies.

• Adapt project management methodologies across Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid frameworks.

• Collaborate with Engineering, QA, UX/UI, Product, Business, and various cross-functional teams.

• Manage communication with Directors, C-level executives, and other essential stakeholders.

• Provide succinct project status updates that cover progress, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, and next steps.

• Escalate critical risks and blockers with a clear context and actionable recommendations.

• Propel projects towards measurable outcomes while ensuring alignment with scope, timeline, quality, and stakeholder expectations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience managing software or digital projects from start to finish, including mobile application project management.

• Experience in coordinating multiple teams, cross-functional workstreams, and project dependencies.

• Strong background in managing project plans, timelines, milestones, deliverables, roadmaps, and critical paths.

• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and/or Hybrid methodologies.

• Proven capability to identify and proactively manage risks, issues, blockers, and dependencies.

• Significant experience in stakeholder management, including engagement with Directors and C-level executives.

• Knowledge of AI-powered tools for project management, planning, documentation, reporting, or productivity.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to convey information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong results-oriented mindset, with a sense of ownership and accountability.

• Proficiency in using Jira and other project management or collaboration tools.

• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.

• Advanced proficiency in English.
