This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Take full ownership of the delivery process for client projects, which includes onboardings, migrations, rollouts, and infrastructure/security implementations, from the kickoff phase to project closeout.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource schedules.
• Collaborate with engineers, client stakeholders, and vendors to ensure project progression and resolve any dependencies.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients during active projects, facilitating kickoffs, status updates, and closeout discussions.
• Oversee scope, timelines, deliverables, changes, and risks while ensuring clear and proactive communication.
• Collaborate with client success teams to manage transitions from sold deals to project delivery and ongoing support.
• Utilize PSA tools to manage projects effectively, ensuring tasks, time, and status are kept up to date.
• Maintain Statements of Work (SOWs), project plans, RAID logs, change requests, and closeout documentation.
• Standardize and enhance project delivery templates, playbooks, and processes for better efficiency.
• Coordinate engineering resources across overlapping projects in collaboration with service desk and engineering leadership.
• Monitor project profitability, time expenditure, and scope modifications while flagging any overages and change orders.
• Report on project health, milestones, and risks to leadership regularly.
• Facilitate collaboration among engineering, security, and client success teams to meet project commitments.
• Identify and escalate cross-functional blockers, driving their resolution.
• Provide insights on recurring project challenges to inform process and template enhancements.
• Hands-on experience in managing client-facing IT projects within an established Managed Service Provider (MSP) and multi-client managed services environment; not limited to internal project management office (PMO) roles.
• Demonstrated success in delivering IT projects on schedule, within scope, and on budget, including onboardings, migrations, and infrastructure/cloud/security rollouts.
• Strong understanding of project management principles, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, scope/change management, and risk management.
• Practical experience with a Professional Services Automation (PSA) tool like ConnectWise for project and time management.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills; comfortable leading client-facing meetings.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple concurrent projects effectively.
• Located in the Central time zone, or in/near Boston, San Francisco, San Diego, Orange County, or Los Angeles.
• PMP, CAPM, PRINCE2, or a similar project management certification is preferred.
• Experience in serving life sciences or biotech sectors is preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365/Azure migrations and security/compliance projects, including SOC 2, HIPAA, and HITRUST, is preferred.
• Experience in a security-led MSP environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of tools such as Asana, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or similar applications is preferred.
