This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +5 more states.
• Oversee both new and ongoing CRO laboratory initiatives encompassing assay development, clinical testing, biorepository/sample management, logistics, and kitting for client studies.
• Manage assigned protocols and ensure overall project performance and client satisfaction throughout the lifecycle of each project.
• Offer internal consulting on project management challenges and pinpoint areas for process and efficiency enhancements.
• Act as the cross-functional lead, supervising operational delivery to meet contracted timelines and budgetary requirements.
• Prepare and maintain process documentation while providing mentorship to junior Project Managers.
• Direct projects from initiation to completion, including planning, execution, risk management, communication, stakeholder engagement, and scope and cost control.
• Develop and oversee project timelines, budgets, revenue targets, forecasts, and resource allocation plans.
• Coordinate and supervise scheduled activities, allocating responsibilities as needed.
• Lead the implementation of new and ongoing studies while facilitating the development of new projects.
• Communicate with clients and collaborators about data management, inventory control, shipping processes, and designated areas.
• Organize data collection and prepare/present project information, reports, and correspondence.
• Monitor revenue targets, expenses, billing, and monthly budget discrepancies.
• Create, track, and report on project and business metrics.
• Identify out-of-scope work, escalate issues and action plans, and manage project tasks effectively.
• Review and update project documentation to ensure it meets approval standards.
• Evaluate and mitigate technical, project, and business risks.
• Ensure that deliverables adhere to design, performance, regulatory, and client specifications.
• Identify and resolve operational challenges, adjust priorities and schedules, and complete additional project and departmental duties.
• Bachelor's degree in a life science or a related discipline, such as engineering.
• Previous experience as a Project Manager within Central Laboratories at a CRO, pharmaceutical, or biotech organization.
• Outstanding listening and communication abilities.
• Proficient computer skills with experience in MS Office/MS 365 applications.
• Superior presentation, interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking capabilities.
• High level of emotional intelligence.
• Strong grasp of project management principles and data analysis.
• Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional research and reporting abilities.
• Strong judgment and discretion.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including overnight stays, approximately 10–25% of the time.
