This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.
• Design and oversee HVAC systems as well as facility projects.
• Strategically plan, organize, and implement facility projects.
• Travel across the US, including the Hawaiian Islands and the Caribbean, to deliver project management services.
• Identify project requirements, limitations, and responsibilities to fulfill customer expectations.
• Gather data to define project scope.
• Create MEP assessments that outline project scope and estimated budget.
• Coordinate engineering efforts specific to the project when necessary.
• Develop work scopes and draft RFPs for contractors.
• Formulate specifications for replacement equipment and prepare RFQs for vendors.
• Prepare bid comparisons for RFPs and RFQs.
• Issue and manage equipment purchase orders.
• Draft and oversee project contracts and subcontracts.
• Collect certificates of insurance, lien waivers, and related documentation.
• Coordinate and maintain project timelines.
• Review and authorize project invoices.
• Conduct site visits during construction at significant milestones and prepare reports on these visits.
• Provide comprehensive closeout documentation and warranty coverage.
• Maintain project files and track projects using the MSS online database.
• Prepare monthly billing for assigned projects.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Company.
• A degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of experience OR 10+ years of combined experience in commercial/industrial design and project management.
• Proficiency with chilled water systems.
• Experience with boilers.
• Knowledge of domestic water systems.
• Familiarity with packaged, VAV, and split systems.
• Experience with exhaust and make-up air systems.
• Professional Engineering license is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong technical writing abilities.
• Capability to engage effectively with customers.
• High energy levels and a professional demeanor.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• LEED Accreditation is preferred.
• CEM certification is preferred.
• Regular and supervisory probation period may be required, if applicable.
• Random drug testing will be required.
• A background investigation may be necessary; successful completion of a background check is mandatory.
• A clean driving record is required.
• Candidates should be based in Charlotte, NC or be located near a major airport; preference for those in Phoenix, AZ or Salt Lake City, UT.
• Willingness to travel 50% of the time is required.
