This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +23 more states.
• Oversee assigned projects from initiation to completion, managing tasks, timelines, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Collaborate closely with teams in Product, Engineering, Risk, Compliance, Underwriting, Operations, Legal, and Business Development.
• Act as the main project point of contact among internal teams to foster alignment and accountability.
• Lead projects focused on merchant onboarding, activation, and lifecycle workflows.
• Spearhead initiatives concerning acquirer, processor, and sponsor bank requirements.
• Drive projects related to risk, fraud, compliance, and monitoring programs.
• Manage initiatives aimed at enhancing internal tools, platform improvements, and process advancements.
• Create and uphold project documentation, status reports, and updates for departmental leadership.
• Identify and proactively address risks that may affect acquiring operations or regulated/high-risk sectors.
• Ensure project compliance with internal controls, card network standards, acquiring expectations, and regulatory requirements.
• Promote continuous improvement by refining project management methodologies and standards within the department.
• 3–5 years of experience in project management or operations within Fintech, payments, or financial services.
• Direct experience with payments acquiring, merchant processing, or related payment operations.
• Proficient understanding of the payment lifecycle, including authorization, settlement, chargebacks, and disputes.
• Familiarity with project tracking and collaboration tools such as Jira, Asana, Confluence, Smartsheet, or Monday.com.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities.
• Capability to convert operational, technical, or regulatory requirements into executable project plans.
• Detail-oriented with an understanding of broader process and business implications.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced payments landscape.
• High level of ownership and accountability.
• Proven ability to handle multiple workstreams with competing priorities.
• Strong written, verbal, and organizational communication skills.
• Effective communicator who can coordinate efforts between technical and non-technical teams.
• Ability to thrive in structured yet adaptable environments.
• Solution-focused with good judgment on when to escalate issues.
• Reliable follow-through and responsibility for assigned tasks.
• Experience with high-risk merchant portfolios or regulated payment sectors is preferred.
• Knowledge of underwriting, enhanced due diligence, or chargeback monitoring processes is preferred.
• Previous collaboration with Risk, Compliance, or Legal on operational projects is preferred.
• Exposure to acquiring banks, processors, gateways, or sponsor bank relationships is preferred.
• Having a project management certification (PMP, Agile, Scrum) is advantageous but not mandatory.
