Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.

📋 Description

• Oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of both global and local COA/eCOA projects.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

• Manage local COA/eCOA initiatives for Japan with swift turnaround times.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams both within and outside of Japan to secure project deliverables.

• Serve as the primary liaison with local client representatives in Japan to manage expectations and monitor project status.

• Create comprehensive project plans, budgets, and timelines.

• Track project progress to ensure successful outcomes for COA initiatives.

• Facilitate communication and engagement among stakeholders.

• Coordinate with team members and clients throughout the project lifecycle.

• Select and allocate translators and reviewers in accordance with project needs.

• Perform final checks on deliverables and oversee their delivery to clients.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, linguistics, project management, or a related discipline; advanced degree is preferred.

• For Project Manager: A minimum of 5 years of experience in COA/translation/localization project management.

• For Associate Project Manager: At least 2 years of experience in COA/translation/localization project management.

• Proficiency in Japanese and English at a business level.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Proven leadership skills with the capability to manage cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.

• Excellent organizational, planning, and time management capabilities.

• Ability to meet project goals and deadlines while ensuring high quality standards are maintained.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse teams and stakeholders.

• Dedication to quality and compliance in all project-related activities.

• Solid technical skills and familiarity with translation management systems and CAT tools.

• Quality-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.

• Experience in COA/eCOA, clinical trials, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, global project management, or matrix-team management is preferred.
