This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary liaison for FHC’s clients, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders throughout the entirety of a project.

• Utilize project management tools and techniques to create, execute, and oversee workplans and timelines for multiple projects.

• Formulate project strategies, design tasks, suggest team member assignments, and collaborate with the Project Director on task allocations.

• Anticipate potential project risks and devise strategies to mitigate any known issues.

• Recognize when a project is completing tasks but not meeting overarching goals and make necessary adjustments.

• Ensure meetings remain focused and on schedule.

• Manage project budgets, staffing assignments, and contract timelines effectively.

• Create and implement plans for contract closure or transition to a new vendor.

• Provide regular progress reports to the project director on a predetermined schedule.

• Employ agile and scrum methodologies when applicable.

• Lead the development and ongoing maintenance of business requirements documents, product backlogs, and issue trackers.

• Identify opportunities to enhance existing contract revenue and appropriately expand project scope.

• Seek out suitable opportunities to meet client needs on a monthly basis to maximize potential revenue.

• Set monthly billable hour targets for staff on PM 2’s client contracts and establish maximum hours per month for internal (non-billable) initiatives led by PM 2.

• Oversee the development of deliverables from inception to completion, including drafting and obtaining client approval for necessary project items: approach, task plan, analytic plan, business requirements, product backlog, issue trackers, quality reviews, client acceptance criteria, risk management plan, and schedule.

• Prepare the best possible client-ready drafts of supporting materials (slide decks, agendas, notes, action items, etc.) for review by the Project Director.

• As needed, ensure that project deliverables are adequately scoped, documented, and vetted with the Data Science, Policy & Program team members, and the Project Director during the planning phase.

• Collaborate with all project team members to develop deliverables schedules.

• Assist the team in creating deliverables, including drafting written materials (e.g., narrative project descriptions, action plans, topic briefs, literature reviews, etc.), slide decks, spreadsheets, tables, business requirements, and analytic plans.

• Contribute to RFPs and other bid proposals as necessary.

• Conduct research and literature reviews; translate findings into clear, concise insights to support project work.

• Facilitate communications among client staff, FHC project team members, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

• Respond to client inquiries in a timely and appropriate manner.

• Support and enhance FHC's internal data governance design and implementation.

• Assess and clearly convey the implications of new information for the project team and client.

• Understand and communicate how the project aligns with other FHC projects, the client's internal work, and national themes or trends.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience managing complex projects, ideally related to health policy, healthcare reform, analytic data projects, and/or health data strategy.

• Bachelor’s degree.

• Master’s degree in a related field or current PMP®, Agile, or Disciplined Agile certification.

• Exceptional time management skills; ability to self-regulate and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Strong interpersonal skills with a confident speaking style.

• Proficient meeting facilitation skills, including the ability to clarify complex ideas and broker consensus among diverse stakeholders.

• Excellent written communication skills across various formats (e.g., long-form white papers, brief meeting summaries/action items, and concise, audience-appropriate slide decks).

• Proficient in using MS Office Suite, including Excel; experience with MS Project is desired.

• Familiarity with one or more cloud-based project management tools (Asana, MS Project, Jira, etc.).

• Capable of taking responsibility for tasks and executing them on an agreed-upon timeline, ensuring responses meet requirements (i.e., minimal reminders needed, written materials/spreadsheets are error-free).

• Able to delegate tasks and oversee the production of others’ deliverables.

• Skilled at conceptualizing and outlining documents for deliverables.

• Proficient in applying critical thinking skills when creating or reviewing materials for completeness, appropriateness of content, and interpretation.

• Capable of writing highly professional emails, short memos, program descriptions, project narratives, and competently assessing others’ writing, including tone, content, accuracy, data explanations, and format.

• Able to develop Gantt charts, project timelines, and budgets.

• Familiarity with project management tools gained through work experience.

• Knowledge of or interest in multi-payer databases, public healthcare payers, claims processing, and/or claims data analytics.

• Understanding of US healthcare policy, trends, and influencing factors.

• Awareness of the state government's role in healthcare.
