This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide guidance to the client and project team in defining the project goals and vision.
• Offer leadership in interior design, concentrating on furniture planning and design across various projects.
• Direct the design development to meet the project's objectives throughout all project phases.
• Assess client requirements, analyze, and accurately document design goals and space needs.
• Lead the interior design strategy with an emphasis on furniture within the project team.
• Oversee the conceptual and design progression of interior spaces, particularly focusing on furniture design for the project.
• Coordinate design work and ensure compliance with codes.
• Collaborate with other disciplines, including architecture, engineering, and consultants.
• Review drawings and support functions to align with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Supervise and produce design visualizations.
• Assist and/or lead project planning by developing and adhering to work plans and budgets.
• Create a work schedule for the interior design components with a focus on furniture in the project.
• Support or lead client meetings.
• Foster positive relationships with clients and team members.
• Enforce interior design standards focused on furniture throughout all aspects and phases of the project by implementing, maintaining, and following them.
• Act as a furniture subject matter expert for project teams.
• Lead the development of and/or produce documentation for furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFE) during all phases of the interior design process as necessary.
• Handle specification development and coordination.
• Mentor junior interior design staff.
• Actively engage in and promote design leadership.
• Collaborate with design leadership.
• Consult with product vendors.
• Lead and/or take part in marketing initiatives, including proposal development and interviews.
• Engage in construction administration activities.
• A bachelor's or master’s degree in interior design, Interior Architecture, or a related field is required.
• A strong portfolio in furniture/interior design showcasing planning, specification, and implementation experience is preferred.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience is required.
• Relevant experience in furniture planning, specification, and procurement is strongly preferred.
• Current NCIDQ certification is preferred.
• Strong design, storytelling, and technical skills, along with knowledge of building and life safety codes, are required.
• Outstanding presentation, organizational, team-building, collaboration, and communication skills are essential.
• The ability to establish and maintain client relationships is crucial.
• Experience in leading a high-performing team is preferred.
• Must be a critical thinker.
• Highly analytical abilities are required.
• Proficiency in Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite is required.
