This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
• Create project plans, timelines, and preliminary budget estimates.
• Establish scope, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring they align with client needs and company goals.
• Lead interdisciplinary teams (P&C, Station, and Quality Assurance), comprising engineers, designers, and drafters, by assigning tasks and promoting effective communication and collaboration.
• Act as the main contact for clients, addressing their concerns and providing updates on progress.
• Identify potential risks (technical, financial, scheduling) and execute mitigation strategies to keep projects on schedule, while also informing clients of any potential changes (e.g., scope modifications, milestone delays).
• Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure substation designs adhere to technical standards, client specifications, and project objectives.
• Responsible for overseeing a portfolio of projects of varying sizes and complexities.
• Work within the department to create and implement best practices and tools that enhance efficiency.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed in and around energized substations.
• Willingness to travel to project sites or client meetings as necessary (approximately 10% travel required).
• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business.
• Over 5 years of directly relevant experience in managing engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills, along with a solid technical aptitude.
• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities (written, verbal, and interpersonal).
• Proficient in project planning and project management methodologies.
• Adaptable, results-driven, and effective at navigating change, with demonstrated team-building skills.
• Capable of managing conflicts and reaching swift resolutions effectively.
• Preferred: Active PMP certification.
• Experience in the utility and energy sectors, particularly in relation to transmission and distribution systems.
