Project Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Collaborates closely with Area Managers, Region Engineers, and Geopier licensee teams to offer project-specific technical guidance and direction, facilitating project feasibility and bidding efforts for Geopier design-build solutions.

• Works with Area Managers to conduct engineering analyses and prepare design reviews.

• Prepares or evaluates engineering calculations, establishing engineering direction on projects with minimal supervision.

• Assists the Design Center review team by conducting slope stability and other geotechnical analyses to develop RAP designs.

• Aids in resolving construction challenges and design-related issues.

• Reviews and approves Rammed Aggregate Pier (RAP) and other system designs.

• Creates and presents technical presentations at both internal and external meetings and workshops.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in the geotechnical or structural engineering domain.

• Strong comprehension of soil mechanics and structural loading conditions.

• Experience in reading and interpreting project documents and blueprints.

• Excellent interpersonal skills - a clear communicator, skilled in both digital and verbal communication, with a professional appearance and demeanor.

• Capable of planning, prioritizing, and managing issues, tasks, and deliverables from concept to completion.

• Proficient in computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet usage.

• Familiarity with computer systems and software, such as AutoCAD, Microsoft applications, and other geotechnical software like SLIDE, SLOPE-W, and Settle 3D.
