This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Africa.
• Lead the project investment initiatives with a focus on effective management.
• Create, execute, and uphold project governance frameworks.
• Maintain a strong emphasis on achieving project objectives and outcomes.
• Establish and oversee project management systems.
• Collaborate closely with the Business Development team to utilize project investments for securing further funding.
• Direct and support the iterative redesign of projections, budgets, and implementation approaches.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships within the Ipas Network and the external sector.
• Develop a technically sound and operationally effective project work plan.
• Ensure alignment across country strategies, work plans, budgets, logic models, and results frameworks.
• Propel dynamic, results-oriented management by integrating programmatic, financial, and evidence data to guide strategic decision-making.
• Anticipate, mitigate, and manage any programmatic, financial, legal, political, and reputational risks.
• Guarantee timely access to high-quality progress, performance, and compliance information for internal stakeholders.
• Supervise the preparation of narrative and financial reports for donors.
• Advocate for safeguarding and uphold ethical programming standards.
• A strong commitment to sexual and reproductive health and rights, particularly safe abortion and access to contraception.
• Proven ability to lead through shared power and influence without formal authority.
• A track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex, adaptive projects encompassing service delivery, policy reform, civil society strengthening, and system changes.
• Established experience in engaging major philanthropic or bilateral donors through high-trust, iterative relationships.
• Demonstrated expertise in implementing results-based management and navigating complex situations.
• A master's degree in public administration, international affairs, public health, or a related field, or a bachelor's degree paired with significant experience in program, compliance, or grants management.
• 12-15 years of progressive professional experience in the international nonprofit sector.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in French and/or Spanish is preferred.
