This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
• Conduct thorough on-site surveys and audits at client locations, including schools, higher education institutions, federal facilities, correctional facilities, and healthcare establishments.
• Record existing conditions using designated software applications.
• Formulate scopes of work and execute energy calculations for both existing and proposed conditions.
• Oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to deadlines, budget constraints, and quality benchmarks.
• Collaborate with teams and both internal and external stakeholders.
• Recognize and address complex mechanical challenges.
• Strategize project plans and subtasks for monitoring and presentation purposes.
• Support the scheduling of development resources.
• Supervise technical staff, junior engineers, subcontractors, and facilitate cross-division collaboration.
• Analyze blueprints, models, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Investigate new technologies and industry trends.
• Enhance products, processes, divisional efficiencies, and operational methodologies.
• Verify the accuracy and outcomes of team deliverables.
• Coach and mentor junior team members.
• Lead the Development segment of Challenger meetings as assigned.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science, with a focus on electrical, mechanical, environmental, or chemical engineering.
• Experience in auditing domestic water, process water, steam systems, building envelope, HVAC systems, and demand control ventilation systems.
• Expertise in at least one system or area, along with a working knowledge of several other specializations.
• Strong grasp of engineering principles.
• Proficient in interpreting mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Capability to collect, analyze, and interpret energy consumption data effectively.
• Excellent analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to train teams and lead work groups.
• Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
• Attention to detail is essential.
• Knowledge of emerging energy technologies, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Understanding of ROI, payback periods, and life-cycle cost analysis.
• Proficient knowledge of energy and water scope documentation, as well as measurement and verification practices.
• Strong understanding of estimating practices.
• Advanced skills in Excel and Word.
• Willingness to travel 75% of the time across the country.
• Preferred certifications include Engineer-in-Training, Professional Engineer, Certified Energy Manager, LEED, CLIA, CWEP, and PMP.
• Previous experience in the construction industry is advantageous.
