Project Development Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assist in the development of solar and battery storage initiatives for the Mission.

• Collaborate closely with various cross-functional teams, including finance, engineering, GIS, real estate, permitting, and others.

• Oversee the planning, scheduling, and budgeting of project development.

• Perform market analysis, research, and due diligence on potential new sites.

• Coordinate with contractors and vendors to secure diverse work deliverables.

• Support responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) as necessary.

• Identify and rank target greenfield sites and acquisition opportunities.

• Assist in real estate and land acquisition efforts for prioritized greenfield sites.

• Monitor project risks throughout the development phase and provide evaluations to management.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in business, planning, engineering, environmental science, or finance-related disciplines.

• Preferred experience in solar and/or battery project development.

• A basic understanding of renewable energy markets and the project lifecycle is preferred.

• Project management skills, including the ability to create and oversee project budgets and timelines.

• Capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently, each with varying levels of complexity and urgency.

• Strong interpersonal, entrepreneurial, organizational, and analytical abilities.

• Outstanding organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and professional communication and presentation skills.

• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Smartsheet; knowledge of ArcGIS is a plus.

• A valid driver's license.

• Willingness and ability to travel within the United States up to 25% of the time, or as necessitated by project requirements.
