This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +6 more states.
• Design and develop small commercial HVAC systems, control solutions, connected building technologies, digital services, and turnkey offerings utilizing Trane products, controls, and services.
• Collaborate with Account Managers to discover and cultivate profitable, actionable opportunities within national owner-direct accounts.
• Aid in project scoping, conceptual development, solution validation, and initial design work.
• Support project budgets, request for quotes (RFQs) for subcontractors and independent service providers, scope statements, schedules, specifications, and key milestone dates.
• Coordinate with independent service providers and internal teams to create actionable project plans.
• Offer technical assistance and solution development support for Trane's business pursuits.
• Engage in strategic account planning and job acquisition initiatives.
• Oversee conceptual site plans and preliminary engineering documents until they are handed over to execution teams.
• Enhance project development processes across digital, service, and turnkey solutions.
• Provide ongoing support to secured clients from project development through transition to operations or execution teams.
• Foster customer satisfaction, promote account growth, and nurture long-term relationships.
• Generate consistent customer value through service, modernization, digital expansion, and turnkey projects.
• Travel as necessary and perform additional assigned responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, a Technical field, Business, or a related discipline is required.
• Background in supporting project development, project management, service solutions, turnkey delivery, or sales support related to construction.
• Capability to recognize customer needs and convert them into practical, profitable, and executable solutions.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems, controls, building systems, and the construction industry.
• Comprehension of construction methods and practices.
• Proficiency in communicating with and coordinating subcontractors and independent service providers.
• Skill in auditing existing mechanical and building systems and proposing solutions.
• Strong abilities in estimating, scoping, and proposal development.
• Experience in developing and documenting HVAC system-level sequences of operations and control requirements is advantageous.
• Proficient in Visio, AutoCAD, and/or other design software; knowledge of digital platforms and connected building technologies is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Ability to work consistently and reliably within a team environment.
• Willingness to work outside of regular hours or on weekends as necessary.
• Some travel will be required, with occasional overnight stays.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for at least 12 months.
• No significant or frequent traffic violations, including DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving, or numerous minor infractions or preventable collisions within the past 3 years.
