This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Act as the primary liaison among researchers, community partners, the Labor Futures team, and other departments within Data & Society.
• Facilitate and organize activities for the Labor Futures team.
• Assist the Program Director in transitioning the project from planning stages to publication and dissemination.
• Manage comprehensive programming while providing daily administrative, operational, and logistical support for the project.
• Schedule and oversee meetings and check-ins with researchers and community partners.
• Keep researchers updated on project progress and aid in the timely fulfillment of deadlines and deliverables.
• Oversee project-related financial processes, including IRB, participant stipends, and authorized researcher travel.
• Aid in the development and publication of reports by coordinating structures, timelines, resources, and researcher connections.
• Summarize meetings into clear action items, identifying conflicts, discrepancies, or synergies for escalation.
• Manage the operational calendar, prepare agendas and pre-meeting materials, take notes, and maintain shared file systems.
• Align timelines and deliverables with the Communications, Strategy & Engagement, and Editorial teams.
• Coordinate onboarding procedures and financial workflows for Contract Researchers with HR and Finance.
• Foster partner relationships and manage recurring calls, updates, event announcements, and follow-up notes.
• Maintain a contact database for project inquiries from academic, civil society, and journalistic sources.
• Engage in internal programming, organizational meetings, presentations, seminars, reading groups, working groups, committees, and professional development activities.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Over 7 years of experience in project management, coordination, community support, or related fields.
• Experience in a research-based environment.
• Strong understanding of research practices and norms, including qualitative and fieldwork-based research, as well as familiarity with research institutions such as Institutional Review Boards.
• Knowledge of Zotero and academic platforms like SSRN, Google Scholar, and major scholarly journals.
• Proven track record of collaborative work with civil society, community, and labor organizations.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while adhering to deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills with experience working with diverse colleagues and collaborators.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Ability to work independently within a remote-first organization.
• Must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States.
